高雄市消防局回覆，「目前高雄透天厝5人死亡之火警，起火原因尚在調查鑑定中。」據指，檢、警、消目前依火流研判，起火點來自2樓的樓梯附近桌子，疑似電器燃燒，但究竟是何種電器或電線起火待鑑定釐清。
