美國政府蒐集各國疫情，按疫情輕微與嚴重程度分級，一級疫情最輕微，沒有顧慮，一，二個月前美國還把台灣列為一級，前要，兩週已把台灣改列三級，就是能不去台灣就避免去台灣旅行，台灣疫情升高有疑慮。
台灣衛生部與政府對疫情似有隱瞞，但美國在台協會與CIA在台蒐情很厲害，可能已瞭解一些內情，故把台灣疫情升等，最近幾天，已爆出華航機師多位已染疫，且已傳染給家人，這已證明台灣社會區疫情傳染早已發生，我們的防疫已有漏洞。我們現在要更小心防疫。

美國國務院確實有修改對台的旅遊建議，但此修改與台灣的疫情發展無關，而是因為台灣入境措施較嚴。
2021/4/21 美國國務院（角色相當於外交部）修改了美國國內群眾對台旅遊的建議，從 2020/8/6 所發布的「Level 1: Exercise Normal Precautions」調整為「Level 3: Reconsider Travel」。但是，國務院的公告中也有說明，美國 CDC 的分類中，台灣依然是 Level 1（低度 COVID-19 影響），只是台灣方面，有一些針對美國公民入境台灣的限制。
實際查詢美國 CDC 的旅遊警示，時至 2021/5/1 台灣依然是 Level 1: Low Level of COVID-19 in Taiwan，因此純就疫情的角度來解讀，台灣依舊是低風險。
