消保官提醒，收到「幽靈包裹」，實為不肖賣家在消費者並未訂購商品的情況下主動寄出商品，並發送到貨通知簡訊，誘使消費者前往取貨付款，建議民眾收到這類簡訊，應先核對自己的購物清單、訂單進度、包裹寄件人、貨運編號及費用，不隨便取貨，如是協助家人代收，請先向家人查證有無網購，以免詐騙包裹魚目混珠。
