就目前的實證研究結果，代糖不會致癌。代糖是糖類以外的人工甜味劑(Artificial Sweeteners)的統稱，種類眾多且具有甜味與低熱量的特性，如糖精與阿斯巴甜等，對於愛吃甜又怕胖或是糖尿病患者都是糖類替代品。
