教育局正在統計各校需求，將會回報中央，由中央統一徵用調度，但也強調若為正常健康的孩童「並沒有一定要戴口罩」，不需過度恐慌。衛生局也強調，若為正常健康的小朋友並沒有一定要戴口罩，建議到校前先在家量測體溫，並勤洗手，若有生病、發燒或感冒，建議在家休息，不要到外接觸人群。
