台鐵宣布，6月1日起在維持社交距離下，可於列車上飲食，但飲食完畢後仍需戴回口罩，全程戴口罩搭車規定仍未改變。高鐵隨後也宣布，6月1日起開放旅客保持社交距離下可於列車上飲食。
