漂白水之主要成分為次氯酸鈉，目前並無研究顯示漂白水與癌症有關聯性。以稀釋的漂白水清潔環境，能發揮消毒殺菌的效果，但是漂白水的氯氣揮發時，容易造成鼻子、喉嚨、眼睛不適，接觸皮膚容易有刺激性，建議使用時注意正確使用方式，適當稀釋，並且注意環境通風。
