以交通條例來說，紅線絕對不能停，只要停了，警方就有權力立刻開單；而黃線可以臨停，但只能停3分鐘。而白線或沒有劃線就可以停車。如果違規在紅線停車，情節比較嚴重最高可罰1200元，黃線則是最高600元。
