以往高血壓診斷標準值為"140/90 mmHg"，台灣高血壓學會及心臟學會，依據一項由兩岸共同合作的大型臨床試驗結果，於111年5月發布2022年台灣高血壓治療指引，有兩項重要變革，包括：下修高血壓標準為"130/80 mmHg"，並採用”居家血壓”取代門診測量血壓。
