此為台中市政府針對「飛機噴藥防白蛾」【謠言澄清】。
台中市常見危害作物的蛾類有斜紋夜蛾、甜菜夜蛾及黑角舞蛾等，農業局每年均以昆蟲性費洛蒙誘捕，或是黏貼紙方式進行防治，從未採用空中噴灑藥劑方式。
除了市府的防治措施，行政院農委會農業試驗所也對各區持續進行害蟲密度調查，監控害蟲的消長，以適時進行防治，減少對作物的損害。
