繼日本 (去年七月)、澳門 (今年三月) 受到大量來自巴布亞紐幾內亞的「+675 7221 1814」詐騙電話侵襲之後，台灣也傳出有民眾受到該詐騙電話的騷擾，而刑事局也特別提醒，若民眾看到來路不明或是從境外撥打的電話，千萬不要接聽或回撥，以免負擔高額國際通話費。
