假的，在以 Delta 和 Omicron 為主的時期，第三劑mRNA疫苗在「預防與 COVID-19 相關的急診室和緊急護理遭遇」的效力分別為 94% 和 82%，在「預防與 COVID-19 相關的住院」的效力分別為 94% 和 90%。並不會因為病毒變種就無效，建議仍要施打疫苗。
