中央流行疫情指揮中心已經針對所有具有醫療器材許可證 的醫用口罩廠商，發出徵用書。也就是除了已徵用的29家外，剩下的37家也會列入徵用範圍。過去因為人力受限，經濟部採取分階段徵用的方式，第一批徵用10家、第二批15家、第三批4家。不過，合格的製造商都可以生產口罩，不會只有部分廠商才能生產製造。
