莊恆彰認為，國外許多研究，因為要調查性行為模式，必須讓病人填寫問卷，並長期追蹤來收集研究資料，但這可能有回憶誤差，造成研究數據誤差大，加上每個人的年紀、身體情況都不同，因此研究準確性並不高。
