疾管署表示，依中國官方最新公布，目前27名肺炎病例，其中7人病情嚴重，但沒有人傳人，也沒有院內感染現象，與SARS不太一樣，但有待檢驗確認。引用武漢市衛生健康委員會的資料表示，雖然病毒還在檢驗中，但初步沒有人傳人以及院內感染情況，暫時可對SARS疫情的憂慮降低一點。羅一鈞進一步表示，如果這份官方資料屬實，目前暫時不用擔心是SRAS疫情。
