此文主張歐巴馬醫保(PPACA, Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act)要求美國民眾植入晶片，此訊息有誤。
　
1.此訊息起源於PPACA在眾議院的原始草案HR3200，該草案曾有條文提及「可植入、可維持或延續生命(implantable, life-supporting, or life-sustaining)」的醫材管理，例如人工髖關節等。
　
2.但該草案條文【並未授權】任何對人體植入醫材或晶片的行為；同時，該草案條文最後也【沒有】通過成為PPACA正式條文。
