目前規定所有自外國入境民眾皆須配合居家檢疫14天；若為確診個案的接觸者，則須配合居家隔離14天。居家檢疫／隔離期間，請民眾留在家中或住宿地點，隨時配戴口罩且不得外出；同住者請一同採取適當防護措施，包括配戴外科口罩、養成良好衛生習慣，每日消毒共用生活區域，並儘可能保持1公尺以上的適當距離。需要半年以上是無稽之談。
