1. 塞內加爾從3月23日開始宣布緊急狀態，包括實施旅遊限制、關閉邊境及宵禁（晚間八點到早上六點）。早在3月14時該國就已宣布將暫停商業航班、關閉學校並停止公開活動，非洲各國也對來自美國、歐洲與中國的旅客採取隔離檢疫，並沒有傳出會「槍斃」來自疫區的返鄉者。
