謝宗學觀察到的感染症主要以病毒性腸胃炎為主，約佔了一半，細菌性腸胃炎漸漸減少，推測應該是天氣漸漸轉涼的關係；零星遇到腸病毒案例，雖然有比前幾週稍多，但遠不到流行的規模；其餘的是呼吸道相關感染症，其中又以呼吸道融合病毒（Respiratory Syncytial Virus, RSV）為最多。
