1. 2020年1月30日，此對中國夫婦確實於羅馬確診，成為首起義大利案例，義大利總理孔蒂因而下令暫停義大利與中國間的航班。但義大利首次爆發社區感染是2月中下旬，發生於義北的倫巴底( Lombardy )地區，而後確診個案才迅速攀升，因此不應隨意指稱「是此對中國夫婦導致義大利爆發疫情」。

2.義大利首波集體感染中，第2~11起病例都可追溯到名叫「Mattia」的首例本土確診病患，米蘭科學家研究認為，Mattia可能是被一名德國慕尼黑的病患所傳染，且研究者認為義大利境內傳染可能早於「封鎖中國航班」。

3.針對疫情蔓延，指揮中心不停強調沒有人想要生病或被隔離，「不要對立、不要標籤化、不要一直肉搜，防疫才有可能」。
