真的。奧地利自2017年10月1日起法律規定 “Anti-Gesichtsverhüllungsgesetz” (禁蒙面法): 在奧地利公共場所，包括地鐵、公車、戲院、馬路上等，沒有合理理由不能戴口罩等遮住臉部的物品。警察人員看到可能會開罰到150歐元罰款，倘生病者確有需要戴口罩的，可請醫生開立證明、並將證明隨時放在身上、證明有合理理由戴口罩、不然可能也會受罰。
