經濟部強調，發展再生能源是國際趨勢，對台灣而言，不但能提升供電能力、不會排放空氣污染、還能提升國家能源自主。對貿易出口導向的台灣來說，打進綠色供應鏈、增加產業的國際競爭力，發展綠能更是重要一步。政府推動再生能源的決心，絕不會因為王明鉅先生莫須有的不實指控而改變。
