新竹縣政府今天（21日）表示，竹縣自民國83年起發放敬老福利津貼，但94年8月1日後設籍者不能領，縣長楊文科上任以來多次接獲長輩陳情，經衡量縣府財務負荷，在不影響行政院對縣府補助下，決定今年重陽節將發給符合資格的長輩每人1萬元敬老禮金，採申請制，預估約有3千人將受惠。縣府社會處表示，敬老禮金發放的對象，為重陽節當日（111年10月4日）已滿65歲，且於民國94年8月1日以後設籍、截至111年重陽節
