最近又開始流傳了謠言，標題為「剛剛，歐洲宣布用人民幣替代了美元！全球轟動!!!」，由於標題實在是太聳動，讓這則訊息在通訊軟體這兩天也十分火紅，不過目前除了人民幣，歐洲央行外匯存底還包括日元、ＳＤＲ和黃金，其中美元資產仍然占最大宗，並沒有替代了美元啦！

內容只是誇大了賣美元換人民幣的份額，歐洲央行儲備外匯或美金現金總額的一部份換成人民幣而已，份額不到 3% ，但的確有意向持續人民幣，減持美金。這是國際貨幣基金會研討已久的題目，早在 2015 便提上日程，並沒有突如其來或轟動
