根據社會局規畫，只要設籍北市6至12歲學童，搭乘捷運就可享6折優惠，以持有記名的數位學生證悠遊卡為準。目前北市6歲至12歲學童約15萬人，其中有3萬多人雖設籍北市，但就讀外縣市且不一定持有數位學生證，因此考慮讓家長持戶口名簿等資料，去區公所申請記名悠遊卡，同樣可享優惠。
