中央流行疫情指揮中心指揮官陳時中曾解釋，並非實聯制的足跡重疊就會隔離，會再經過詳細疫調，依接觸時間及有無適當防護條件，評估是否有感染風險，進而匡列接觸者名單。因此並不建議怕被匡列就不掃實名制，呼籲國人出入公共場域落實實聯制，才能保護自己與他人。
