雖然不是什麼匪軍間諜，但是抖音的伺服器存儲大量用戶資訊，中共政府可用任何理由予取予求，一旦抖音把這些外國伺服器上的資訊傳回給中共政府，勢將威脅各國用戶安全；美國情治單位也指控抖音是中共的「間諜網路程式」，威脅西方民主國家安全。
