嘉義市政府環境保護局表示，為了讓車主更方便掌握排氣定期檢驗訊息及響應2050淨零碳排並減少紙張與郵資費，自今(114)年起已開始利用簡訊方式通知市民朋友機車排氣定期檢驗的時間，尚未登錄的車主，可至該局「機車定檢簡訊通知登錄系統」(網址：https://www.chpn.com.tw/smsreg/) 登錄車牌號碼與手機號碼，屆時即可接收到定檢提醒通知，讓車主不再錯過排氣檢驗的時機，確保愛車定期檢驗以符合排放標準。
