假的。影片中的鳥類是鳳頭距翅麥，他並不會噴火，而畫面甚至不在澳洲，這是是南美洲的唯一有冠涉禽。
而澳洲過去的研究，是關於有鳥類會伺機捕捉因火而竄逃的獵物，鳥類固然會讓野火蔓延，但科學家不相信鳥類此舉背後有任何目的，不過就是偶發性的行為，這在 2019 年前就有許多理論，並非 2021 年的新發現。
