易誤解內容。CNN4月10日刊出的報導表示，根據研究發現，引發美國社區感染的冠狀病毒基因組源頭可追溯到歐洲，而不是「新型冠狀病毒的起源在歐洲」，不過此篇由美國西奈山伊坎醫學院的研究論文目前僅發表「預印本」，也尚未通過正式評議。
國家過敏和傳染病研究所所長Faucib認為此研究結果並不意外，由於美國較早對中國採取入境限制，但當時疫情已轉移到歐洲。
