對於蔡英文總統的學歷，倫敦政經學院校方及我國教育部也都已說明澄清過，如同倫敦政經學院的校訓：「探求事物發生的緣故」(原拉丁文：Rerum cognoscere causas),期盼各方輿論的溝通重點，都能以實事求是的精神進行良性的討論，避免過多個人揣測，扭曲事實。「因為，沒有任何一位，經過學校驗證、合法取得學位的留英校友，應該遭受這樣對待。」
