新北市政府消防局針對五樓以下的公寓(無電梯)，每戶可以免費補助一顆偵煙式住宅用火災警報器，只要帶身份證來新莊消防分隊(新莊區中正路170號)值班台填寫資料即可馬上拿到。新莊區公寓住宅很多，不像大樓有消防設備，請鄰長們幫忙宣傳一下，這是一個預防火災的好物喔~謝謝。

新北市建築物總樓高5層樓以下老舊公寓、透天厝發生火災占住宅火災件數的68.5%，且經常造成人員傷亡，107年本市曾補助安裝使民眾倖免於「小火釀大禍」的成功案例15件。今(108)年度，本市將補助安裝6萬4,207戶(5層樓以下應設建築物總數10%)，並優先針對本市獨居長者、低收入戶及資源回收戶共2萬463戶弱勢家庭全面到府安裝，其餘提供一般民眾申請自主安裝。
