長時間接觸藍光，不僅容易導致視網膜病變，西班牙研究發現，甚至會提高罹癌率，像是女性乳癌會增加1.5倍，男性攝護腺癌增加2倍，不過國內專家認為，國外研究當中參雜變數很多，民眾不用太過恐慌，但還是要小心過度接觸藍光，可能會影響視力。
