雖然瓦斯罐價格低廉，但是瓦斯機車儲物容量小，無法一次攜帶太多瓦斯罐，萬一突然沒瓦斯了，就要仰賴像是便利商店、大賣場等店家，依然有其侷限性；且瓦斯機車運用一罐瓦斯罐行駛路程不遠，無法跑太快，僅限小範圍的區域可以使用。價格雖然比一般機車低廉，但一台瓦斯機車定價也是3萬元以上。
