疾病管制署嚴正澄清，針對高雄市提供的病媒蚊檢體，截至目前實驗室僅由高雄市林園區某豬舍一處掛燈捕獲之三斑家蚊檢出日本腦炎病毒，未發現任何可能帶有登革病毒的埃及斑蚊、白線斑蚊或可能帶有瘧原蟲的矮小瘧蚊，該網友文章資訊明顯與事實不符，且國內自1965年起已為瘧疾根除地區，2018年亦無本土感染登革熱病例。
