公益平台基金會董事長嚴長壽先生，長時間親自投身偏鄉教育，擔任台東均一中小學董事長。我們希望秉持同樣對教育的熱忱跟理念，運用資訊科技融入教學，服務所有華人學子。於是商請嚴先生借用「均一」的名稱，希望能提供「均等、一流」的免費線上內容供學生、老師來使用。
