桃捷公司取得交通部核發的機場捷運營運許可，將在春節過後2月2日，啟動為期一個月的試營運方案，試營運規畫分為兩階段，前2周是團體試乘階段；後2周是屬於自由試乘階段，試營運期間是限時限量壓力測試，預估搭乘人數將超過70萬人次，團體試乘人數預估每日約1至2萬人次，自由試乘人數預估每日約4萬人次。為期一個月的試營運，期間免費搭乘；並於3月2日正式通車，第一個月票價打5折優惠，4月2日起恢復原價。
