因應空氣品質不良，高雄市啟動大眾運輸免費搭乘，自2017年12月1日起連續3個月，包括市內公車等使用電子票證免費搭乘；捷運則於平日上、下班時間尖峰時段，使用電子票證也免費搭乘。
