由流感病毒所引起的急性呼吸道感染疾病，症狀有頭痛、發燒、流鼻水、喉嚨痛、咳嗽、肌肉痠痛、疲倦等等。特點是爆發流行快、傳染範圍廣泛、併發症嚴重；一般重感冒不一定是流感，需經由快篩判別是否感染流感病毒。
