目前根據道路交通管理處罰條例第53條第1項規定，汽車駕駛人行經交岔路口闖紅燈者，處新臺幣1,800元以上5,400元以下罰鍰，並非網傳之3600 - 7200元。
而根據該條例第53條第2項規定，汽車駕駛人紅燈右轉，處新臺幣1,200元以上3,600元以下罰鍰，並非網傳之5,400元。
對於無憑無據的消息，請駕駛人不要輕易相信轉發，反而助長不實訊息。
