台灣方面積極爭取加入世衛，但有關事項再度挑動北京敏感神經。針對中共國台辦負責人以片面政治主張排除台灣參與WHO並發表不實言論，陸委會表達嚴正抗議。陸委會並表示，台灣長期推動參與世界衛生組織，但屢遭中方無理打壓。今年召開的世衛執委會，中共仍以政治因素阻撓友邦對我參與的支持，更排除我專家出席WHO肺炎疫情緊急會議。中共當局切勿將政治因素凌駕在人類健康安全之上，所謂「以疫謀獨」乃推卸責任、轉移焦點上綱之舉，無助改善兩岸關係。
