交通部公路總局正式宣布，蘇花改最後一段和中至大清水路段已經完工，將於2020年1月6日下午4時開放通車，意即蘇花改全線開通，從蘇澳到大清水路段，可省下1小時的車程。未來會採取區間測速與科技自動執法系統，取締變換車道和違規超車。
