多家主流媒體針對事件都有做出報導。台船公司的兩名工人在貨櫃輪內進行焊接作業的過程中發生閃燃情形，造成火災災害，引發氣爆意外，其中一名工人身體大面積灼傷。此起意外共導致一人死亡一人受傷。
