藥物Remdesivir尚未在任何國家獲得批准上市，其安全性和有效性也未被證實。這是在2013年針對西非伊波拉病毒（Ebola virus）大流行研發的新藥，不過因為在臨床試驗療效遜於其他對照藥物，因此以受挫告終。由於該藥物合成比較困難，暫時不太可能大量供應。
