蔡英文自1984年從倫敦大學所屬的倫敦政經學院（The London School of Economics and Political Science, LSE）取得博士學位，至今已35年。期間，她在國內大學任教、在政府任職、參選新北市長、參選總統，標榜的最高學歷就是倫敦政經學院的博士學位。
