根據國際醫學期刊《The Lancet》（刺胳針），刊登英國官方研究發現，牛津AZ疫苗對於英國變異株保護力能有70%，就算接種後仍然感染英國變異株，病毒陽性天數也由平均14天減少至7天，原本Ct值20病毒量，也提升至平均Ct值28.8，也就是減少體內病毒量，對病患與周遭的人威脅都降低。
