假的。不同的玉米品種排數可以從 8-24 排不等，甚至更多。而在同一玉米品種中，也會出現不同的排數，有些品種的排數有 8、10、12 排；有些 12、14、16、18 排；有些品種則會出現 18、20、22、24 排，更有一些品種的排數差異更大。所以單以玉米粒的排數多寡，無法判斷是不是基因轉殖玉米。
