中國信託秉持著「取之於社會，用之於社會」的回饋精神，多年來透過「點燃生命之火」愛心募款活動，持續致力於弱勢兒童之扶助。隨著企業成長，中國信託堅信企業對社會應負擔更多的企業社會責任(Corporate Social Responsibility) ，因此, 在2004年11月2日, 中國信託慈善基金會正式登記成立，除持續專注於經濟弱勢急身心障礙兒童領域的扶助與救援，並將積極建立企業志工文化， 以投入更多人力來關注孩童的需求。
