內文說美國人不會把菜英文當自己人，而中國把馬英九當自己人。「當自己人」其實僅現在「不同群體、有差異」時，如果同一國，通常會稱為「國人」。PRC在2005年通過《反分裂國家法》，該法第8條明文，若喪失和平統一的可能性，中國可採取非和平方式及必要措施，而中國國家主席習近平2019年1月2日發表《告台灣同胞書》，明確表示「不承諾放棄使用武力，保留採取一切必要措施的選項」。
