可以檢視新竹市警察局科學儀器及科技執法取締地點一覽表，並不是所有地方都有科技執法，在行人安全上，依照《道路交通管理處罰條例》，汽車、機車、自行車，都應「暫停」讓行人優先通過。設置科技執法的初衷，是希望能保障用路人安全，減少路口因未停讓造成的交通事故，警方內部有「強化審核機制」原則，並不是一定會受罰。
